Andy
I read the few threads and many people tried and it worked for CLK55 and CLK500, not sure if it would work for my 2004 CLK320.

This may make it easier. It's not engine size dependant, it's ECU dependant. The CLK55, CLK500, and your ECU are all ME 2.8. It works with ME 2.8.

MarcusF: Thanks for your clarification. I'll try it later.

After the procedure, is there an indication somewhere that the ECU has been resetted?

I did some more reading and when the ECU is resetted, there is supposed to have a "click" sound coming under the dash. I will look for this sound.

By the other thread, it was unclear that the key should be put in ACC (1st click) or ON (2nd click).

I did both, when the key was in ACC position, I definitely heard a "click" sound after 3 minutes. When the key was in ON position, I did not hear any "click" even after 3 minutes.
