6000K HID Fogs

This is the 6000K H7 HID kit from HIDExtra.com installed on my fog lights. I also bought the 6000K D1S bulbs from HIDExtra for my low-beams. These are the first pics of my car since I got it, enjoy!

Looks great, can you post some details regarding the install? Any issues?

where did u get your led's? i got mine from ebay and they were pretty pricey at $30 for each pair, but they work perfectly and are really really bright and pure white...so they match my fogs perfectly.

if you want a real match, swap out your bi-xenon bulbs to 6000k

A forum member actually pmed me, pacman. Im waiting for them to come in so ill post pics when i get them. He gave a hell of a deal for all four bulbs. so well see what happens

I was thinking about that also, but I want to see what it will look like w/o changing the bi xenons, if im not comfortable i think that'll be my route.

how do you like the 4300/6000 combo?

When I had my 6000K fogs in, I hated the 4300K lowbeams...it looked so cheap and out of place. I felt like a ricer, almost. That is why I have 6000K lowbeams and fogs now, with LED city lights and license plate lights.

I felt the exact same way. Mine look much better now that I changed the city light to LED but I still want to change the lowbeams to 6000K to match my foglight. How much did you got your 6000k lowbeams?

I love the 6000/6000 combo also. I'm getting led parking lights as well. also changed my side markers to clear ones with blue bulbs in them. Thinking of getting 6000k leds for the high beams, what do you think? Should I do it?

led's for the high beams? i wouldnt recommend it because led's are not as visible during the day as halogen bulbs, so when u flash them they will not be as effective. and at night, they won't light anything up lol

did you have to put resistors on the city lights? I bought a pair of led city lights and plate lights for less than $30 shipped a while back but I was too lazy to put resistors on them

no resistors necessary, truly plug and play

Dude your looks Sick, I have a 04 CLk500 and I am contemplating puting on either 6000k or 8000k or some in between. I hate my stock halogens, their ok but compared with the HID's their crap. I am thinking of getting a set from ebay and their are several sellers selling them for under $50.00 with shipping. What do you guys recommend? By the way I live in Los Angeles so I dont want to attract too much attention to me, if you know what I mean lol.

Well personally, I would save up for a pair of oem bi-xenons, or at least some ebay projector-style headlights because IMO hid's look so out of place in halogen headlamp housings because the light just fills the whole housing and makes it look ricer-ish. thats just me though. if you must have hid's, get them from hidextra.com. they're a sponsor here on these boards and have a discount for mbworld members; check the sponsors section on the forum
