Vinly Wrap a MB?
Has anyone Vinly wraped a vehicle? I saw this post from BMW blog and sounds intersting to share.
You spend $120.00 and a week labor for new color of your vehicle.

daaaaaaamn!! i have been looking to do this and was about to pay someone to do it for me. seeing this i am doing this myself!! where the hell did he get the vinyl for that price...$120 .. WTF..??

I dont think $120 is enough to wrap the whole car.. i think $120 is just for one side mirror! lol....

I was just researching a bit this yesterday 
I will be getting my roof done in gloss black on my silver car. The cost is $150-300 depending on the place. I know a guy that does commercial installs for 15 years and will have him do it. We are in Chicago area if anyone is interested.
Whole car is about $2-3000 based on what I found online. I'm sure it depands on the place and expiration. I will have to check with my friend to see how much he would charge for a whole car. Here is a post on the BMW forum with many pictures and info from a guy that does it in California

just a heads up guys...if you plan to wrap...always have some money set aside when you want to take the vinyl off....i've seen the 3m vinyl take off paint... other than that, if you can remove the vinyl without marring your paint, you'll definately need to get a cut-polish to get ur car looking the way before your sticker job.

you definitely need to wash ur car, clay bar, and carabua or cleaner wax the car first. then you would be fine.
the reason why it would take off paint is if the clear coat was weak, its really hard to strip paint with stickers.

I've read the entire thread. It's pretty interesting all the way to the end. Will probably give this a try too but if someone attempts to give it a shot before any of us, just try to practice wrapping something other than your car first a

Ok so i looked and looked and didnt see a link to where the dude got the vinyl from. I think he had a friend get it for him thats why its so cheap....
