I was just on the way back from shopping for a Benz or BMW for the wife and I was doing 45 in a 30 zone, they just changed it couple months back so still not used to the drop. We were chatting with the wife about the cars we test drove and there was a cop on the side with a laser gun. Pulled us over but we got lucky and just got away with a warning 
Is that a sign we should get another Benz?

Yes it was in the CLK, very surprised he let me off with a warning. It was 15 over. What pisses me off is that all the roads around here are 40mph and some roads threw the forest preservers 50 or 55. One day out of the blue they changed a section of the that road down to 30 for no other apparent reason as there is nothing deferent about that section. As a matter of fact another road crossing this one is still 40 and that is with a school
Everyone in the area is used to doing 40-45 on that road. Its nothing but pure entrapment. Guess they are looking for "creative" ways to fund their operations with all the local gov being in such a bad financial shape. Perhaps they should turn off the engines on the squad cars while they are dining in the local burger joint
