Alright! 24 pages into this thread and I actually want in on this group buy...too bad it is closed...I'm going to call Oliver tomorrow and see if I can get the group buy price because I'm pretty sure I can get it for the $199 as my ecu is on the driver's side...
Can someone verify this just so I can be sure? Here is a photo of it.
Happy you guys completed the group buy though...

I have been happy with my tune. No problems. Your ECU is on the right hand side.

Alright good...just wanted to make sure it was right there on the driver's side of the engine bay and not under the air box...

Well I also have my civic so two days without it will be cool...and wiper trick it is...lol...I called him and he said 299...should I try and talk him down since it's on the side?...what ya think?...

This tune did magic to my car for 299 i keep other cars at bay when i ran a fully bolt on 370Z nismo with all bolt ons costing him a few grand i was still walking him when we pulled over he asked WTF did you do to that car!? im like nutting just $300 dolla tune hahaha.

IMO, custom. As it goes for an off the shelf tune, not one member that I can think of has complained about the Speedtuning USA tune.

Just wanted to give you guys heads up on dealing with speed tunning:
They acted more like a scam shop than a reputable tuner who would stand by their product. Its been a few weeks now and im still waiting for a call back from their manager (Jenifer)
I would seriously question any gains from their tune..

Sorry for your experience, but this is the first time I hear anyone using them for something other than tuning.

A lot of Mercedes cars including mine from what I gathered will run more aggressively after the ECU is reset (battery disconnected or ECU removed) but then it goes back to normal after a few days, So I'm thinking that could contribute to why their customers think that there was a power increase. Unless there are before and after dyno with numbers to prove this different , and I'm not finding anything of such nature from speed tuning, especially after my experience with them

Sorry for bumping an old thread...
But to anybody who has sent their ECU to them to get tuned as opposed to doing it themselves with the programmer, did you run into any problems? I was hoping to go the programmer route, but Oliver said I can't on my 06 CLK 350. I'm just hesitant to ship out my ECU...Seems kinda sketchy to me.
