WHAT ARE YOUR SUMMER PLANS/MODS/REPAIRS

Figured I would start a summer thread to see what others out there are planning. I have seen a lot of DIY's going on lately, maybe some would like to share..

For now my summer plans are installing PSS9's, 14' Brembo front brakes, Chrome trim painted to match car, CLK BS sways, and E55 airbox conversion. I will keep adding as they come to mind.

Which CO's are you switching from/to? You going for actual CF on the roof or just a wrap?

H&R coilovers coming from a spring/strut combo. Slam time. Roof is going to be vinyl, unless I wanted to cut it and redo it, which I don't hahaha.

Any reason why you settled on H&R over Bilstein or KW?

I've had KW's before on a car and did like them, however for the price they didn't offer much to me. The Bilsteins are nice but I've also ran H&R's before and loved them. Great customer service also.

I would suggest going straight to quad... I have a dual right now... and I tried asking people if I can get another dual to get quad.. but they cannot guarantee a perfect match to have all four with the same diameter and etc... and another thing they are saying is that they dont sell dual only... they will be selling quad straight...

(that is if you want to go from dual into quad)

so what will happen.... I will have to take off the dual tip I have and get a brand new quad tip...

You shouldn't have to get all four if you find 2 of the same tips you already have. I'm sure it won't be difficult to find someone who has switched to quad selling their stock tips

Had a little time today and decided to give tinting my tail lights a try. Came out pretty good for my first time. Have to order a new 3rd brake light and tint it to match as well cuz it's a little dark. Let me know what you guys think

i was planning on the following:

1.) Front bumper upgrade to 06+ look **Done!!! Thanks to Advans (CLK 63 front bumper)**
2.) Xenon headlight upgrade **Working on it...I threw them on when the bumper was installed but they don't work yet...big problem... at the shop now**
3.)ECU Tune -> Maybe hop on the GB for SpeedTuning (what do you guys think?)
4.)Upgrade GPS/Command ->This one is a biggie...maybe pushing off that till later on this year/next year?

The car has to be programmed to xenon=present for them to work. If not they would just blink. You bought the bumper advans had on his c55? You should dedinitely join the group buy, they sill need more people

Yup to both your points. I couldn't get the xenons to power on so I just had the guy retrofit a HID kit on the headlight. works great now. Yeah I bought Gary's bumper. It was a great deal because he painted it my color (black opal) and then assembled everything on it. I'll take a couple pics when I get back from Europe. The 63 slits on the side def give it a mean look.
