Thank you for the guidance. I just want to make sure those are correct torque specs: breather cover bolts 4 Nm; ignition coil bolts 8 Nm; valve cover bolts 9 Nm. Please confirm.
I received all MB parts to change the valve cover gasket and reseal the breather covers. I have one more question regarding the sealer A 003 989 98 20 10. In order to apply it correctly with 2 mm diameter, where should I cut the tip? It looks like there is a slight indentation about 13 mm from the end of the tip. Is this where it should be cut?
Doesn’t really matter as you control it by the pressure. If I’m doubt cut it open and try it on a piece of cardboard first and squeeze 1-2 cm out and see how it goes. If you feel you have to push too hard cut it a bit more to increase the size of the hole in the tip. That’s how I do it.
While putting the new houses together, I noticed that the connector A 112-018-02-09 has a partial obstruction inside. It's a piece of rubber that flops inside partially blocking air to go through (see picture). Is that normal?
Thank you for the guidance. I completed the job. Replaced all breather hoses and connectors, reattached both breather covers using MB sealer, and replaced both valve cover gaskets. So far all good. To remove old sealer I used MB 001-986-71-71-09 Cleaning Agent. Works great. I ordered all parts from mbpartscenter.com
