Not unless it is resonated. A straight Steel X will not quiet it, but what it would do it equalize the sound when the banks are firing and make a much more fluid tone.
As-is - "true dual" fashion, you will hear / feel more pulsating.
I Love the look, but I would toss in a resonated x-pipe. Like this.

That will quiet the car a notch, but totally change the sound to be more fitting.

does deleting the 2nd resonator and muffler let you pass smog test?
(california is strict on the smog tests)

i believe deleting the 2nd cats is a no. resonator is fair game. although carlo put a set of high flow cats on his car which apparently are smog legal. and for the muffler, they wont nail you unless they check under.

Crop the top and bottom and ypu'll be good to go! I really need to take a weekend off onetime and get my car out for some pics, with Dubai's scenery and my 5D mkII I'm sure I can get some great pics.
