AMG Tips?.....Get em' here

Been searching for the past few days for exhausts and look what I found this morning. A specific part # for OEM AMG tips. I checked them on parts.com and they are $156.40 each brand new. After running the part #'s through the EPC it looks like they are used on ML's, hence the (164).

nice find but if you buy 4 and custom a Ypipe that would be alot of money. But hey at least we know that we can buy the tips by itself.

Is that what you did, dyno? Did you go to the dealer and buy two of these?

Nope, I bought my 4 AMG tips off a member a couple months ago.

I am shooting for this week but maybe next week. I'm still trying to figure out what mufflers I could fit.

I think the only option you have are glasspacks or one of those 2 inlet / 2 outlet Magnaflow x-pipes/mufflers

So this is what happened. I switched the stock spare wheel well (far right position) to the CLK63 spare wheel well (center position). Now my stock muffler doesn't fit back on the left side because there is less room than before. I don't think the oval Magnflow mufflers will fit, might have to go with the round ones. I will be going by an exhaust shop soon to take some measurements.

Wes, I can say with 99% good faith that you'll definately be able to get a Magnaflow in there. You may not have the same width but you'll have the same height, worse comes to worse, you'll just have to angle them. The website has all the dimensions listed, do some measuring and I'm sure you'll find one that works.

i think if you bring them to a muff shop, they should be abble to get a mag muff that will fit with ease as kev said.

im looking to hear the sound. i would consider getting a true dual set up. but i wouldnt mind a faux dual set up and have it wrap around either. lol personal preference i guess.

so do these amg tips need to be welded on or bolted? and if i wanted to just have dual exhaust on the left side only, i buy 2 of the left side ones, right?

They need to be welded. I'm guessing you would need 2 left ones.

Definitely pricey, but good to know that it's an option if all else fails. BTW: This was a while ago, I already finished my exhaust. In fact I recently purchased some S65 tips.

I guess. Before gettin my exhaust done I dropped one of the tips on the floor and dented it. I ended up having to buy one of these. You can't tell the difference. They are the same.
