need lug bolts for these wheels

I just purchased wheels for my car, 07 CLK 550, and when I installed them the lug bolts were too long. Wheel size were 19X8.5 front and 19X9.5 rear. I think the offset was 35mm. Lug was tight but wheel was not flush against the disc. What size lug do I need and could I have damaged anything by tighten the lugs. thanks

This is the most common mistake when switching to aftermarket wheels. As long as you didn't drive around too much with the long lugs, you should be fine. There is a risk of damaging the parking brake if you drive around with them.

Thanks for your reply. I just called the wheel vendor and he stated that I indeed need shorter lug bolts. I order the set of 20 for $59.00 and they are on their way. After I install the wheels I'm going to post some pics to get some ideas on lowering. thanks again.

Glad to hear you're getting the correct lugs. Definitely post some pics of the wheels, I'm sure non of us here will have a problem helping with the lowering info.

When the shop put my wheels on I made this mistake too, the shop said it was fine to drive on so I drove it. There was a grinding noise and then they had to replace the rear hub I believe it was. Good thing u didn't drive on it. Didn't cost me anything but cost the shop 600

Ouch, at least the shop took ownership of the problem.

Sure wish the 'shop' that did my wheels took ownership, I'm paying for my new hub.

Hubs around 300 a piece. Luckily when i got my tires mounted they installed the wheels or else I'd be shelling out the money. Kevwood hope u find it cheaper somewhere

Thanks but in Dubai there aren't a whole lot of options. Plus, the MB parts here are marked up over the US pricing. Got us by the short and curly's here.
