On S mode, the car starts in 1st gear and revs high before shifting. On C mode, the car starts in 2nd gear and shifts sooner.

S and C mode

Hi,

I drive an 07 clk350 coupe / 16K miles....

I haven't noticed a difference in mileage. However, when the tranny is in "S" mode, the car hesitates for a second when depressing the gas pedal to accelerate from a stop sign or red light. It's very odd, usually happens when the car is cold; less noticeable if accelerating slowly. (Anyone else have the same experience?)

As for the "C" mode, if I'm at a stop sign or red light, the car tends to roll backwards if I take my foot off the brake. [Always reminding myself not to do that.]

thx.

Get yourself a sprint booster, it will eliminate the lag when accelerating.

I have a 05 clk 320 with 75k miles on her. I have the exact same experience, i feel like the car holds back for a second or two before accelerating lol.
I have an issue thats been bothering me for a while and cant manage to duplicate it everytime, its most noticeable when i shift from second to first gear, I hear a deep "zwoosh" sound coming from the bottom, I dont know what it is, it happens around 50% of the time

Nope, doesn't do anything to the warranty. Install is pretty straight forward. Just remove the pedal and plug the SB in. It is definitely worth the money!

This is from the W212 forum.

S- Sport Mode
C/W- Comfort/Winter Mode

Theres something wrong with your transmission...you may have to take it into MB to have the TCU reprogrammed.
The car is not suppose to roll back in -C- mode....
