Pre-facelift or face-lift AMG bumper

Hey guys,

I need your opinion.
Should I go with pre-facelift or face-lifted AMG front bumper?

Thanks!

If money is no object, I would get the CLK63 bumper or the face-lifted bumper. Else getting the pre-facelift bumper with CF lip, and Projector Fogs would cost less and still look aggressive.

Thanks Carlos!
Money is no object, and I have seriously thought about buying the 63 bumper, but I was thinking of going dual pipe exhaust for now(AMG 55 style). That is why it might look strange having the 63 bumper with dual pipe But I might change my mind. The 63 bumper is still in the option list.

Between the pre-facelift and face-lifted bumper, would you go with face-lifted one?

If money is no object dump the V6 and buy a CLK63 mate, it comes with the 63AMG bumper!!!

If I were you, I'd go with exactly what Carlos said - get the 63 bumper and if not, the facelifted one. The facelifted bumper just adds a touch more aggression to the front end.

Hahaha, I was planning on buying the CLK63 next year or so but I still love my 320 so I'm keeping that either way as my daily beater

Thanks for your opinion Kev!
So that 2-0 for the facelifted amg bumper.
I will be adding the 63 bumper as an option if more of you guys think that it's a better way to go?

No, no 63 bumper if you're going to buy a real 63 next year, just go the facelifted route.

Ok I hear you on that
Do you know if I can use my absorbers from my current bumper and transfer them to the new bumper? You know the plastic things on the inside of the bumper

I'm really not sure is all the hardware is the same. Wes might be able to help with an exploded parts view.

Wes is the resident parts and 'this is what you need to do to make this fit' guy. Call me when you need audio or engine tuning/building advice

You and me both mate, luckily the HK system I've got is decent enough to keep me satisfied for the time being. Got too much else going on right now anyways to take on a new project.

You know my opinion. I like the pre-facelift because of the projector fogs. You should be able to use your impact absorbers.

That I do
Wes, do you know If my current absorbers will fit the face-lifted bumper?
The two bumpers that I have found are:
the pre-facelift bumper with aborbers and the facelifted one without absorbers.

I need a tuning advice while I still got you on the thread
Do you think a ecu flash/tune for my 320 is worth $800?
I'm probably going with quad exhaust later on.

One of my friends has got BMW 630i with quad exhuast and I haven't raced him yet, I wanna race him without loosing too big
What do you think?

I think you'll get raped. As for the tune, every V6 member on in this section that got one through Speedtunning was very, very happy. So, two sides to the coin here, why boost up the HP by maybe 10 for $800USD when you have a CLK63 coming in 11 months or so - OR - if money is no object, go for it and see what you get.

I don't think it's going to help much against the 630i though, they aren't super fast but my friend has one and it's no slouch, it's a great match for the C/CLK350.

Haha thanks for the brutal honesty. That's what I thought
I'll get the 63 and rape him later on
For now, my excuse will be, "I don't wanna race"

Your absorbers should fit, but I'm not 100% sure. Let me check the EPC to see if they are the same part #. As for the tune, I don't think I would have paid $800. If money is really no object then go for it. I would hope for that money you get some before and after dyno.

Lol, now you're talkin

Seriously though, it would be pretty one sided, the 630i puts down around the same as a C350, 270'ish and up around 300'ish torque. If I am not mistaken your 320 is in the range of 220hp and 220tq, no ECU flash in the world is going to make up that difference. Try nitrous

In regards to to 63, you getting it locally or imported?

My puts upp 220HP and 310tq, so I got 10 more torque than him but he got 258HP

for the 63 locally, but there aren't many floating around in Sweden.
I have found one 63 for sale, and 63 BS for sale. I don't want to import from germany but I'll see. Hopefully I can find one local.
