how many of you
are happy with your new CLK...?
I mean everytime I come onto this board, I see people complaining about issues.
I realize that most of the issues appear to be minor...has anyone had any major issues?
I have a CLK on order, it will be an '04.
I would be disappointed to spend 60k on a car that has problems as I drive off the lot.. Hell, the main reason I'm getting a new car is because my old car keeps have annoying issues and problems.
I don't want to have to deal with it on a new car.

The 04 should have most of the common problems addressed.
I got an 03 because I had no choice to wait six more months...wish I could have though! It really pisses me off that my 03 was a Jan production with many of the initial problems addressed in TSB's months earlier and they were not done when my car was being built.
What are you driving now that's having so many problems?

I agree with the post above. People really do seem to complain a lot about their CLK's. Granted, their are people who post good things. I have owned my car for a little over a month and I've had NO problems at all.
My car has run smoothly since purchase and I seriously doubt that anything is going to go wrong with it. My 2003 is a late model, maybe all is worked out with it.
As far as people complaining, some post about "all the scratches" on their black paint. I don't think it's MB's fault for your scratches, but people sure like to complain about it.
Anyway, my .02 cents, the CLK turns heads and kicks a$$.

BENZ RULES
I have had no problems at all. I love the car and think it is excellent. The only problem I have is idiots in cheesy regular 3 series bmw's trying to race me! While I am only 23 and still wild, I do not play these childish games anymore.
That's why I used to own an M5, but the mercedes is so much better! The M5 handled better, but the Benz is a Benz!I could understand if the guy was in an M3, but comon a 2001 328i? Stupid! The car was so ugly too!
Bottom line, MErcedes RULES!

I'm surprised an ex-M5 owner change to M.Benz
Why M5 dissatisfy you ?
p.s My CLK is the very early production batch in this forum, not too bad so far. (ex-factory May 2002)

Definitely satisfied.
I got the first one in Sacramento (mid August), so an early build.
Had to make one trip to the dealer to correct some minor issues (including the wipers).
Now everything is perfect, and couldn’t think of another car I would prefer (in the same price range).
Cheers

im still satisfied even though i have all those problems....
when my friends took a look at my clk, they each ordered new clks....at first before my clk arrived, one of them said clk is not that good-looking and that e-class is better..
and i think if u tried hard u could get a discount...
my friend got a discount as much as $1200
he got keyless go option for free plus a few hundreds discount

2003 CLK 320
I have had my clk 320 for abut five months and I am very happy about the purchase of this car. I had to take the car in once and it was minor it was to do with the windshield wipers and they replaced the blades. The color of the car is black opal I just make sure that I wash it by hand or go to a touch- less car wash I perfer to wash it by hand and keep it waxed. I do not have a lot of scratches on my car or swirl marks. It does take extra care with the dark color compared with the lighter color.
Very happy 2003 clk 320 owner.

I guess, I'm one of the few lucky guys who have a trouble free CLK.
When I got my CLK I notice the right wiper blaze was loosen and quick popped it back in.
No wiper noise
No hyper speed either
No water leak in the windows
The clock worked fine and accurately
The alignment is fine
Except AC does smell for a little awhile then it will disappear

My overall experience has been nothing but positive.
Three months have passed, and I'm more than satisfied with my car. I had the minor wiper "blind spot" problem, but that was corrected by the dealer in a matter of minutes. Everything else has been trouble free.

In hearing all the positive comments, I'm really not suprised. It is afterall, a Mercedes-Benz product. If they're producing bad cars, somthing is really wrong when you pay for MB quality.
It's amazing, look at what's coming out with Diamler Chrysler MB divison and look at the new 03 SRT-10 Viper. With a CL55 AMG+others competing with a Viper (although MB is a bit more expensive), I really don't expect 2nd best with MB at all!
My .02 cents.

I wish more questions like this were asked on boards, because often times only the people who are dissatisfied with something post and everything thinks "oh, no that #*@&! must be the worst thing ever!". There are always 10 ppl happy when 1 is not...or something like that.
