Need help to figure out best 18" wheel plus tire size combo
I will keep the stock wheels for winter use only and need to buy some other wheels for the rest of the seasons.
My big question is this:
What is the best wheel size with what offset considering i want to go with 18" and what tires that i could use without needing a drop. ( if that makes sense )
I dont mind if my car is not totally flush. If i get to keep the same height as now i would be ok with it.
I am not saying i dont want shocks and springs. I will probably need them soon ( 70,000 miles on the clock now so yeah, also thinking to buy a beater so i can save some on the CLK) but i will push it another summer + winter with the stock ones.
So what do the flush kings suggest here

Chris runs some crazy low offsets. I think with 18x8.5/9.5 ET 23-35 you should be good. Depending on how flush you want them you could always use spacers. As for tires, 235/40 and 265/35 is what I use.

Wes your sig makes my iphone go slow when looking at the forums...lol...
Cool sig though...
Clk...why you thinking about 18's with no springs/ coilovers right now though?...I know you don't wanna push it, but hey might as well do it all and have it all look great...

who's chrislis?
18x9.5" +10 265/30/19
18x8.5" +28 235/35/19
i'm running...
19x9.5" +10 265/30/19 (which is a combo of +35 and 25mm bolt ons)
19x8.5" +30 235/35/19 (which will soon be paired with a 5mm spacer to go +25)
you can run 265/35/18 without a drop.
but realistically your car is going to look cheesey without a drop and flush wheels wont look flush because they're not millimeters from your fender wells.
