TROUBLE putting on the Euroteck front lip spoiler...
Hey guys..
i finally got my euroteck carbon fiber front lip and went to my local body shop
when my guy tried to superimpose the lip, one side fits flush while the other side there is a big GAP...
he wasnt comfortable drilling into the bumper since he was afraid the stress of the malalignment would crack the lip (or even worse, my bumper)
has anyone else had this experience?
Im gonna return the lip if it doesnt fit. Ive heard nothing but good things about neil so im surprised im in this predicament..
anything im doing wrong? klinh?

I put mine on a few days ago and, with all aftermarket parts, the fitment wasn't 'flush out the box', but, it sounds like yours is a lot worse. I got the center section sitting even side to side and then slid it back until it was flushed and gapless dead center, then drilled a screw in. I then worked on either side on the center section, got them done nicely then did the out-most areas, they were the ones that required a little tugging and pushing but in the end, a-okay as well.
I didn't have to drill anything out or add holes, don't suppose you have pics of the installation attempt showing the gaps do you?

Hate to say this, but did the shop read the directions? They are pretty specific and if you do it out of order it will appear to have a gap, but not if you do it correctly. Mine fit perfectly AFTER i read the directions. When I tried to eyeball it and install it how "I thought" it went there was a gap. YMMV.

All the Cf front lip that make for our clk are knock off(except for Brabus and such) but it just depends on where u buy it . I didnt buy( bought 3 of them) it from Neil but they fit perfectly on my car and I helped my friends put it on too .

First of all, when it come to cosmetic, some of us are pickier then others. The gap might not be to bad for some but to me, any gap is not ecceptable. Remember, 3 of you guys has the 2003-2005 version and he has the post-2006 version like mine. The post-2006 version wrap more around and higher to the side of the factory bumper then the 2003-2005 version sit more under the factory bumper. Yes, I know exactly what he's talking about. Since I were the 1st one to got the post-2006 version, I give Neal alot of feed back regarding to the side bumper gap. It sounded to me that Neal didn't modify the the lip even with my feed back. The way I fixed my own gap problem, I drilled a small hole on each side of the bumper through the lip. I added 2" double side tape along the side bumper (between the side bumper and side lip). I used a self taping screw (screw from the inside of the bumper) to push the plastic bumper to the lip. Now, there's no gap at all.

Linh, we did change the lip, and it has been perfect for years with many good fits on cars. Now, ALL of our lips come with the 2 small holes to screw from the inside out to prevent ANY gap at all. We have also found that a lot of people who put this on their car have had their bottom of the stock bumper damaged due to hitting parting curbs, so they hang differently. The 2 holes on each side assure us that no matter the case, you will not have any gaps.

Yeah, if the lower bumper is damages, that will definitely cause fitment problem. I do remember his lip does came with 2 holes on the side, that should give him the idea to put screws there.
