Mikata's spring mods
Lots of tunes cars, crap products and nice extras :-) Favorite: Brabus Bullit... or maybe one of the SL65's...
Anyway, back to business. Is your target to make a similar install?
If yes, then you need following parts:
Speakeradaptors for installation of front speaker
- Front. The ones you ordered.
- Front/rear. slaugther the OE speakers in your car
If you anyway want to go and get a set made in fiber board (never use any type of wood in the doors (unless sealed with paint or polyester) you should get a set done for the original also.
For connecting the x-overs to the car, you need: http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI...#ht_754wt_1037
The rest takes place after the xover.
For the rear woofer you need to do a bit more DYI and insert an inductor to cut the mid/high frekv. from the rear woofer.
This is to be put in series with the '+' on the speaker signal for the rear woofer.
http://www.parts-express.com/pe/show...number=255-812
This is the principle.
One thing you should invest time in, is to dampen the doors! Use a Dynamat door kit to silence the metal. It is well worth the time!
if you need more info let me know, but I'm without my own PC for a few days now, so pls be patient if I'm not online.

My plan is to keep the install a bit simpler. In the past few weeks, I've bought Polk Audio MM series component speakers for the front and the DB series coxial ones for the back pair. Today I received the Pioneer 4 ch amp (60W rms to each speaker) and I already received the Dynamat door speaker kit I ordered last week. Everything goes in the car tomorrow, along with fiberboard speaker rings that will be fabricated by the installer shop. Fingers crossed.

So I've had the digital luxury climate in storage for a while(almost 8 months), I haven't really had time to install it, but I had the chance to do it today.
Chris/clk63dk and I spent a few hours fiddeling with the car and planning my upcoming audio mods.
The install of the climate control only took 10 min btw.
When we both get a chance(hopefully in the beginning of next month) we will install dension gateway lite and Helix amp for my Helix speakers.
On my 40min drive home I noticed my air ducts only blowing hot air no matter what I had set on the climate control.
I knew I had to reset it, but since I was on the freeway, there was no chance of pulling over and reseting it so I turned the AC off.
So 40 sweaty minutes later I got home and reset it.
How to reset pre-face digital climate control:
A reset of the unit should be performed so the position of these flaps are reset and learnt. To reset the unit hold down the demist and recirculation buttons for > 5 seconds, if successful both LEDs flash and the unit will cycle the flap motors to normalise their posotion.
Reset should normally take 30sec or so but mine took way longer and I had no patience to wait so I shut the car of and turned it back on and go figures everything works as it should.
A before and after pic.
Have kept myself busy with work and traveling this past year that I haven't had time to post on mbworld.
Trying to get back in the game again

I haven't really done much to the car more than installing Eibach springs(lowered by 30mm) and bi-xenon headlights last weekend. Few pics attached.
I have two more mods to do, after that I'm done modding it. I just want to enjoy it as it is.
Things left to do are:
*True dual exhaust
*6/4 pot brakes(whenever I find a good deal on the brakes).
I'm getting the C55/CLK55 spare wheel well for this setup.
Mufflers I'm getting:

Hopefully I'll have the exhaust setup done by the end of this year.
