I think I am going to paint my wheels black!

So I don't have the budget to buy new wheels right now so I am thinking about painting my wheels black. I have the stock AMG wheels. I attached some pics of the wheels and a quick photoshop of a matte black paint job to a wheels. Do you guys know of any special paint. I heard that Ceramic engine paint is good. I think this should be a fun DIY job.

I will take a photo of the side of my car and photoshop the wheels so everyone can see what it will really look like.

I think it look good just the way it sits. I'm not a big fan of the blacked out look personally. I have heard tale that the ceramic paint is tough stuff. Good luck with your project.

You might want to try some plasti-dip first to make sure you like the look

Hey Wes, how does that plasti dip work. I just read a little about it and people say it lasts quite long. I think that is a great idea. Can i apply it without taken my wheels off of my tires.

You could peel it off if you don't like the look. It can be done with your wheels on. Do a search for "plasti-dip" on the forum and a lot of threads should come up.

Congrats. Manhattan is going to be tough on your car and those freshly painted wheels.

Ahh, smart. Having a car in the city isn't one of the best ideas.

I've done both plasti-dip and gloss black, both look good depends on your taste. Plasti-dip has a cool speckled texture to it. Will try to take some pictures this weekend.
I use engine enamel gloss black and clear coat.

I think I like the Matte.. Since the plasti dip is Matte, I can rip it off if I hate it.

Honestly, the stock AMG wheels look better in their original finish than blacked out.

Am I allowed to at least try the plasti? Or will I be excommunicated?
