Son hit my Black CLK with the white garage door

It scratched the clear coat and left some white paint on the car.
I have AAA car and home owners insurance. The deductible was $100 and the car was parked. So my rate shouldn't go up. My 13 year looked like he was going to cry. Figured an aggressive buff job could fix it.

Sooooo..... do I charge my kid for the deductible. I asked him to open the garage door and he did, I just didnt move the car yet. I kinda feel it was 50/50 percent. I should have told him to do it AFTER I give him a honk.
Needless to say that's the new rule. Ahhh, the joys of having children.

That sucks, but I agree that's it's mostly your fault. Lol. A little proactive thinkIng on your part would have saved you the headache. Good luck.

Parenting is trial and error. We try to make the best decisions that always don't produce the outcome we were looking for. I'm sure a lesson was learned with this incident.

Case #1746435764723: DAD vs SON, Dimissed due to insufficient evident. How can opening the garage door case damages unless your garage door is not a rolling type. Plus, you "directed"/ "give order" to your son and were in full control of the situation.
