Is there a recall for this? I have a 2007 clk550 and thought that my valve cover was leaking oil but it looks like there is a recall. I was in the process of removing it when I cam across this article.

I just took mine into the dealer today for this exact thing. Not the recall but the seepage I will let you know what they find.

I came back from a two week trip and found this...

The parts are cheap $15 and it should take 20 min to put them in. Too bad I spent so much time trying to remove the valve cover. Now I have to put it back and I do not know the torque for valve cover bolts.

why did you even fool with it if your car is still under warranty? Let the dealer take care of it

I bought the car used with 53K miles and its 2007. I don't think it has warranty.
