No fender rolling required with no rubbing as far as I can tell. The first three pictures are stock height and the rest are lowered. What I noticed is that the installation of the Bilstein shocks in the rear I think raised the vehicle because it looks like it has more gap than before but it could also be due to my spring pad #4 (I had #3 on stock suspension).

You would need at least a 10 mm spacer in the front and at least a 15 mm spacer in the rear (H&R spacers are the best). For coilovers you would need a very low offset I think in like the high 20s or something like that. I would recommend the PSS9 over the KW V1. If you just want for the looks you could just lower it with H&R springs and Bilstein or Koni shocks or Eibach springs and Bilstein or Koni shocks.
Thanks I found H&R spacers on ebay, can you confirm these are the right ones? Once you do, I'll pull the trigger and get them.
The H&R part # for the rear 15 MM spacers 3055665SW and the front 10 MM spacers is 20556659. Find those on any reputable site and you should be good to go.

Nice wheels KB. I'm surprised the Eibach/bilsteins combo didn't give you a more agressive drop. How do you like the ride now?? How was it compared to stock?

Thanks Eojj. I'm happy with the results, I didn't want a slammed look but wanted to beef up the suspension. I think I could have kept the spring pad #3 in the rear but I'm fine with it; just a moderate drop is fine.
As far as the ride, it's great. Steering is a little more tight and the response at high speeds (freeway driving, etc.) is insanely good. The nose goes right where you want it, way better than stock. The ride isn't that much worse, comfort wise, but you feel a little more of the imperfections of the road. Overall, I recommend it. Great improvement over stock.

I'm very tempted to hop on the F14 bandwagon.. Maybe in black! lol. I think Megacrazy has 19" f14's with eibachs and it doesn't look like he has any rubbing issues as well. I've been trying to find a decent set of wheels with a near flush offset but so hard to find one I like.
The cool thing about Forgestar is that they are custom offsets so you can choose what you want to guarantee no rubbing. What color is your CLK? I wanted black but I wanted more contrast which is why I went with gunmetal. Megacrazy has a very nice setup; one of the cleanest 55's I've seen.

My 500 is black on black haha, just like yours. I'm thinking about going all black; although, silver would probably look good too. I can't make up my mind haha...I'm going to wait out a few more months til the winter is over before I buy anything though.. Northeast winters blows! If I was in Cali like you I wouldve slammed the car lol. Where'd you order the forgestars from?
They take about 6-8 weeks to make, but you gotta ask your dealer and/or Forgestar about blank availability. If they have the blanks available, it'll take less than that. I got mine in like 5 weeks because they had the blanks available.
I ordered my Forgestars from ModBargains. They're local to me so I picked mine up when they were ready. The owner is friends with the owner of Forgestar and they're one of the bigger Forgestar vendors. ACG (who is a sponsor on this forum) is also one of the bigger vendors for Forgestar. i have an 04 CLK500 and found a cheap pair of s550 AMG pkg wheels i want to test fit, 19". will they fit?
specs are Wheel/tire specs:
19 x 8.5 +47, 235/35
19 x 9.5 +50, 265/30
just ordered rear spring pads n4 17mm and eibach pro kit springs with stock suspension until it wears out.
and this is the wheels i am going to install. sorry for the pic thats too i couldnt find an eibach lowered one.

Why don't you look for a reputable brand? I would try and avoid bottom of the market Chinese and Taiwanese brands. Try KW, bilstein etc.
Did you want the car to handle at all well or is this purely for show? I would be guessing when I say that more people on here are interested in performance or improving the aesthetics within reason rather than slamming their cars.

I have only read good reviews on those coilovers to be fair.
I am interested in both performance and aesthetics, I am going to be sensible(ish) with lowering it, I just haven't ever seen a lowered clk500 in the uk before, so I'm a bit excited!!
Iv had other cars on bilstein coilovers, but found them to be too stiff for every day use. The PB's have full damping adjustment, so just looking for information, thanks for your response =-]
Hello - New to the group here with a 2006 clk500 cabriolet (Diamond Silver) 6k miles- yep found the grandma who bought and drove it to church on sundays : ). This is my 2nd clk500 and am about to make wheel/tire changes. Please take a look at the fitment guide TSW puts out claiming that with a +40 offset (18x9.5) in the REAR you could get a 295/30/18 tire on.....sound great! too great. In looking through the thread, I haven't seen many examples of running a +40 in the rear and wanted to get some experienced opinions. When using the 1010 tire offset calc it says when going from stock at +30 at 8.5" to +40 at 9.5" that the wheel gets pushed in 23mm which is less than an inch and when I look at the gap with stocks there is about 1.5" of gap before rubbing suspension.

I am not set on targeting the 295/30/18 size TSW says will fit but would be pretty excited about 285/30/18, 275/30/18, 275/35/18. Ok all....looking forward to the knowledge!!
You could probably fit it without heavy modifications; it depends on the tire (some tire brands are wider than others). You might have to get a slight fender roll if anything.
