***Official Wheel/tire/stance Fitment Thread***
Eibach Pro-Kit springs
Bilstein B8 (sport) shocks/struts
Spring pad #4 in the rear
NO spacers
Wheels and tires
Forgestar F14
18 x 8.5 ET28 Front with Michelin Pilot Super Sport 225/40/18
18 x 9.5 ET33 Rear with Michelin Pilot Super Sport 255/35/18
No fender rolling required with no rubbing as far as I can tell. The first three pictures are stock height and the rest are lowered. What I noticed is that the installation of the Bilstein shocks in the rear I think raised the vehicle because it looks like it has more gap than before but it could also be due to my spring pad #4 (I had #3 on stock suspension).

Thanks!

As far as the ride, it's great. Steering is a little more tight and the response at high speeds (freeway driving, etc.) is insanely good. The nose goes right where you want it, way better than stock. The ride isn't that much worse, comfort wise, but you feel a little more of the imperfections of the road. Overall, I recommend it. Great improvement over stock.

I ordered my Forgestars from ModBargains. They're local to me so I picked mine up when they were ready. The owner is friends with the owner of Forgestar and they're one of the bigger Forgestar vendors. ACG (who is a sponsor on this forum) is also one of the bigger vendors for Forgestar. Good luck with wheel shopping! If you have any questions, send me a PM; I'll be happy to help.

I'm completely new to posting on a forum, but I have read many of the mbworld threads and find you to be the most helpful with information on modding the w209 clk.
Iv recently bought a a clk500 in black, took me nearly 8 months 2 find her, but she's a beauty, completely stock, I'm lookin to turn it into some sort of low rider (coilover suspension), concave rims, clk63 bumpers, spoiler etc.
I'm looking for coilovers at the moment (yeah it's stance time!!) eBay item number 281546124461
Pb coilovers, heard some good reviews on them with other cars, but nothin on clk?? Anybody help??

Did you want the car to handle at all well or is this purely for show? I would be guessing when I say that more people on here are interested in performance or improving the aesthetics within reason rather than slamming their cars.

I am interested in both performance and aesthetics, I am going to be sensible(ish) with lowering it, I just haven't ever seen a lowered clk500 in the uk before, so I'm a bit excited!!
Iv had other cars on bilstein coilovers, but found them to be too stiff for every day use. The PB's have full damping adjustment, so just looking for information, thanks for your response =-]

When using the 1010 tire offset calc it says when going from stock at +30 at 8.5" to +40 at 9.5" that the wheel gets pushed in 23mm which is less than an inch and when I look at the gap with stocks there is about 1.5" of gap before rubbing suspension.

I am not set on targeting the 295/30/18 size TSW says will fit but would be pretty excited about 285/30/18, 275/30/18, 275/35/18. Ok all....looking forward to the knowledge!!
