Location of the 38-pin connector

Location of the 38-pin connector
Do 2003 w209's have a 38 pin connector port? Where is it located? I looked in the box with the fuses under the hood but it doesn't look like it's there.

It is under the dashboard on the drivers side about halfway back between the brake pedal and the steering wheel left hand side, there is a cover that hides it you need to take it off.

I was under the impression that the connector port you mentioned is the rectangular OBDII port. The port I am talking about is a round 38 pin port. Am I missing something?

There isent a 38 pin on the 209 only a 16 pin under the dash

Where does STAR connect to then? I was under the impression that it connects somewhere under the hood.

You can not diagnose with Bluetooth. For this modle it is for cellphones only. SDS plugs into the 16 connector. The 163, 220, 203, and 209 were the first modles to start fazing out the 38 pin diagnostic connector.
