cold air makes more HP

have a clk63 amg, without any question driving in cold weather makes so much more power. The engine in hot warm weather is so sluggish, feels like there is 20% increase in overall engine performance, so my question to the tech heads here is : what options do i have to maintain the same performance in hot weather ? i know the 63 engine heats up very easily

No point, in hot weather the air is still hot so you wont see same numbers as you do in cold with any cold air intake.

It has nothing to do with the intake air temperature. MBZ engines have a long history of not running as well in warm weather. Some engines can even hesitate and stall in hot weather. Speculation is that it's an issue in the way the variable-length intake manifold is configured.

compressed cold air intake is the best way to go.. meaning supercharge your engine...
or for an easy way get the CLK DTM series

hope some expert can answer this: with the heating not only do i loose HP but there is also another problem which i would like to know if any one else has ? when the weather is hot 30c, or the engine is at 113c tempreture, the engine will NOT rev (in neutral ) more then 3000rpm !!? last night i was at set of lights where bunch of guys asked me to give it a rev so they can hear the engine but when i did it was a very weak rev with no more then 3000rpm, made me look stupid so i decided to test this thinking that may be a safty feature by design to protect the engine from overheating and blowing up the car may not rev under high temp, i drow down the highway in 7 th gear and the engine temp whent back to 103c, then i revved again and this time it was all good, revs to 6000rpm with awesome sound. does any one know if this is a safety feature or is my engine on its way ?

You can add headers/tune/intake to make "cold weather stock" hp/tq in the heat. You'll prob more than make up for the loss of HP/TQ in bad air with some well chosen mods.

My wifes old c63 was a pig in heat soak traffic on 100Deg F days..... but it got fun again in the fall/winter.

Typical MBZ - they just don't like hot/humid weather!

cold air = more combustion = more fuel = more hp = less mpg.

cold air = dense charge with MORE O2...... engine is simply an air pump.... dense air is more air per stroke more HP......

One day perhaps I remember how well my track car use to react in the cool afternoons in October, I can only imagine this thing getting some nice 10*C air into it.
