Brake Sensors and aftermarket pads?

Brake Sensors and aftermarket pads?
Question for the group.
Got a great deal on some R1 Concepts rotors during a holiday special they had running.
I am going to install new Akebono's pads again, but remember something about the pads not having a hole pre-drilled in them. (My Indy did the install and made mention of). Any big deal here?
What particular brand, and where did you get yours from? The sensors that is.
A friend and myself are going to do the job here shortly and just want to make sure we have everything we need with no hiccups.

It's easy to bypass the sensors, just clip the pad end off, twist the ends together and tape/heat shrink/loom it up - no pad error. I did this when I did my Brembo BBK conversion.
My Akebono pads did have the provisions though...

Good info Kev. So the pads sensors can actually be by-passed with no errors that easily? Good to know. Thanks

Yep, it's simple. It was driving me nuts seeing the 'brake pad wear' indication every time I started the car, when I went back in for the follow up/check over I had them plug the bypassed sensors in and it works like a charm.

Could have got you one yesterday when I was swapping wheels...
It's easy, clip the end that plugs into the brake pad off, strip the coating off the ends of the wires (about 1/2 inch), twist tem together and put some heat shrink over it. Remember there are 2 of them (not 4), front and rear.
