What about the OEM (I assume) AMG split-spokes in your sig? Still have those? I put my 2003 CLK 16's on Craigslist and all but one response was a sex solicitation! ("Umm...this might be off topic but you sound very hot in your listing....") Oh, and the one that wasn't never showed up to look at them!

If you ever find out a way for that let me know. I have been dying to get a mesh grille around there.

Minda gallery makes a black mesh for our cars (middle part) but never seen a pic...

I wanted to get a CLS500/550 but I heard of all those airmatic problems.

I think the CLK is the best all around MB. Buy it, drive it for a few years then supercharge lol.

Technically the CLS is considered a coupe so you'd still all be in the family I agree with you on the CL (new style), that is art on wheels.

Definitely makes the back end look newer
Richie,

You've had the bulbs in for a bit now, no issues? Are they 5000K LED? If so, where did you source them?

Cheers.

Hey Kev,

I actually ended up buying blue coloured regular festoon bulbs to replace the LEDs.

The LEDs ended up falling off the PCB due to the cold weather. I got sent a brand new pair but I haven't installed them yet. I figured I'll stick with the blue coloured bulbs since they haven't given me any problems for a month now.

Here are the blue festoons
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/230720582648?...ht_2066wt_1163

They give the same colour as LED lights would but without the headache of error codes or anything like that. I know LEDs nowadays come with built-in resistors but there's still a chance for it to error out.

Cool, thanks for the reply, no good plate LED's yet I guess, everyone is reporting failures one way or another.

There's a reliable source for LEDs in my area but he's charging $40 for the pair with install. Not sure if I want to spend that much on just lights.

Whats he charging for just the bulbs? I want to change mine out but am hesitant to order something online considering all the reported failures. If the source you have is reliable, I'm tempted to order some from him.

That's good to know, I'm using their LED's for my driving lights and sidemarkers, they have been trouble free so far. What color are you using, 5K or 8K?

Do you remember what the length was (mm)? I might as well order some up now so they will be here when my car is finished sometime next decade...

My buddy ordered LED license plate bulbs from AZN Optics and one of out of the pair flickers at times and stays on at random times. I'm guessing he bought a bad one.

Kev, I can buy the pair from my source and ship them to you if you want.

I've admitted I'm clueless about lights, even started a thread in an attempt to get schooled. Months ago I contacted AZN and said "just send me whatever everyone else buys." One bulb was out of stock and I said "no hurry, just invoice me" and never heard back. I usually have my headlights on auto, but lately have been running parking (city?) lights and fogs on (to burn the condensation in the fogs). It's a chore to remember to shut my lights off (lol). Anyone care to recommend bulbs/leds for the city/fog combo? I assume I would still need/use them if/when I decide on a BiX option?
