The continuing saga of my crash magnet

What the heck?
You might remember i was sooooooooo excited to get my 350 clk.
three days after i buy it--- someone backed into it in my driveway--ARRRGH!
got it fixed and they put a 350 SKL badge on it.

Got that fixed.

Let the DH drive it to the store. He was waiting for a spot.
GUESS WHAT!!!!--SOMEONE BACKS INTO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I could NOT make this up.

I literally have never had my car hit in one zillion years of driving.
now TWICE in one month.

still--I was not driving.
note to self: camp out in car.

NO LONGER ACTIVE
Sorry to hear that! Car damage, even minor parking lot accidents are such a PITA! We have been dealing with Geico for two months now. They are refusing to pay a $400 claim to fix the granddaughter's C240 where a classmate backed into her at school. They claim that since it's a parking lot accident, it should be a "shared liability" claim and our insurance should pay, even though it's clearly their insured's fault. I'm giving them one more chance, then I take the car to the most expensive MBZ certified shop in town for a quote (which I know will be $2K+), and then I'll pay my $45 fee to file in small claims court.

Oh, and a few weeks ago, another classmate (also driving a W203 - lucky kids, huh!) rear ended her. Luckily that one is not a problem with insurance as the classmates parents are readily paying for the repair. Of course the granddaughter is upset that her car is wrecked, but hey, it's just a car. I'm just happy that she's driven over 15 months now with no accidents except these minor bumper scuffs. She had a classmate killed in a car wreck last month. It really puts things into perspective.

I am so sorry to hear that others have gone the this..believe it or not we found a third big chip out of the moulding on the passenger side if the windshield. Completely lost on this unless I too took on a rock at some point..but I am leaving people in the dust. I should be the one throwing rocks up. Dang. Other guy has taken full responsibility..I have never heard of a shared liability for a parking lot. That's ridiculous.
Rudney..I am so sorry to hear about your daughters friend.
Perspective noted.
Actually this is teaching me some patience and forgiveness...I know all is well and this is for sure something that will pass..and pretty small..close to comical when i look at the big picture.

NOW broken HEARTED

Last week, i got pushed into the car in front of me on the fwy at about 8 MPH. Some guy was up my azz and i glanced back to see what was up, and then i got zoomed into the guy in front of me. I didnt realize what was happening until after i braked, my car LUNGED I hit the guy in front of me and I NEVER looked back. Don't ask me why, I don't know, so I don't know what hit me. I have never been in an accident before and i was shook and checked on the guy in front of me who was fine (now claiming medical tho) Called insurance, did not call police.
. Between the lunge and the back headrests popping I was sure they would find something to prove i was taken for a ride.. Took car in, they can't find evidence of being hit, I just dropped collision this year because, ya know, I'd never been in an accident and it was PRETTY pricey for my 10 year old sweet car.
I can't believe the damage. The car in front of me? two scratches. TWO!! MY CAR? Dont\'t have words for my front end. Under the hood is even worse. They tell me it might be totaled and I am BROKEN hearted. It's not just the cash, although that hurts, a LOT. Its that I love the body style of my 350 CLK. i LOVE my car, and now looking for a replacement just in case. Probably an e-400 convertible.
Will life ever be the same though?
