Recommendation for Quad exhaust shop in CA
Right now it seems weird that I have the quad tips, but its not a true quad exhaust system.
Also besides the Borla, what other mufflers do you recommend? I want the sound as close to the AMG sound tone as possible. I don't want anything that sounds ricey or loud irritating droning noises when I'm cruising on the freeway.
Thanks.
Already spent quite a few dollars on the tips. ; )

The Best of Mercedes & AMG

I only know Johnny Franklin is San Rafael. I had some work done at West Coast Mufflers in Concord, but I wasn't too happy with their service. If I were to do it, I might consider driving down to LA.
The way I have it now is just quad tips, and I'm disappointed in the outcome. The bodyshop did not make the right side pipes stick out far enough to match the OEM tips on the left side.
I will need it redone asap, recommendations for an exhaust brand and muffler shop would be greatly appreciated.
I will post pix of my quad tips soon....just too disappointed and embarrassed to show it.

Pepe is now at High Flow Mufflers in Long Beach,Ca (562) 591-2280. You can call for an appointment and he's pretty accommodating! I gave him a weeks lead time and he fit me in no problem (if you go, tell him his friends in MBworld say hi).
Klinh and Amiricanmade also had their exhaust done by Pepe:

My Supercharger work was done by DC Performance in LA and I can testify to their great work!

They are really busy though, so you will need to setup an appointment before you drive the 400 miles!
Good Luck on your install and let us know how it turns out (with pics if possible)!
My review on both even though I don't have exhaust yet eather, but after a lot of research
Eisenmann = A lot more Exotic sounding (Upper Pitch)
Magnaflow = Lower sounding, more like a muscle car (Throaty)
As far a shop, None will have the Eisenmann so you will need to order that before going in. Also you will need to order muffler Tips for eather of them.
Johnny Franklins - Great shop, Will have the Magnaflow (They have a larger shop up in Santa Rosa) I take my cars here all the time.

Jay's Kustom Exhaust - Also great, Nice guy, If you mention "Marin Euro" he may cut you a good deal.

I use Magnaflow and love the sound, if I ever get my car back I'll update my exhaust thread (Kleemann headers and 100 cell cats) put up a sound clip.
Basically, what I want is to mount a muffler where the resonator is (without removing the resonator, is that possible??, and then run 2 pipes back from that to the quad tips.
I have never heard the sound output on a Magnaflow, is it loud? I'm not looking for a loud exhaust, I want it to sound like what I have right now, the stock AMG exhaust, but that's not possible for a quad exhaust system so I need to change the muffler.
I heard the Borla is loud which I don't want.
What exact model of Magnaflow do you have? Does it fit in the center of the car?
@lowpost - On your Eisenmann, will it be suitable for a quad exhaust system? How does it sound? Does it have droning problem at high speeds? Where did you get it and what model did you get? A link would be awesome.
@Overdrive - I will call Johnny Franklin's Muffler shop on Monday to set up an appointment. San Rafael is about 45 minutes away from me, so that wouldn't be too bad. Do you know if they have experience working with Mercedes? I wonder if they ever did a quad exhaust system for a CLK? Should I buy my own Magnaflow and bring it with me to the shop?
Do you recommend the below layout?
Start with a 2.5" stainless steel straight pipe connected to a "Magnaflow" muffler, to either an "X -pipe" or "Y-pipe" and back down to a 2.5" piping to the quad tips. Should I add a noise cancellation chamber and keep the primary and secondary cats to help with the droning at higher speeds.
I want to get the quad exhaust system done asap. Please chime in everyone.
borla is more similar to eisenmann....i heard. not from experience.
