Fellas, of course I'm just having fun with the CLK55 poser thread. But when I saw this today it was pretty funny. It was an older woman driving.

I've also seen a W203 badged as a CLK. Most people have no clue what MBZ's nomenclature means and they often think having more letters is "better". When I worked at the dealership, I had one guy who thought for sure the SL would be less expensive than the SLK. I had to explain that K stood for "kurze", the German word for "short". I had plenty of people coming in asking for "the Kompressor". Maybe this is why the CLK is no longer. Either that or they were afraid it was too close to the new GLK (which, by the way, people swore would be called the "MLK").

I might tell you that a number of Benz'es have come out of repair shops with the wrong badging fitted
