I personally don't think the child made it based on the video. When they finally got the machine to stop, you can clearly see the child feet were up motionless. There are fins inside that i believe hit the child head as it spin. Plus the child probably stop breath due to the water level. It just so sad. the video clearly showed it an accident based on how the parent reacted to the situation.
