help putting together my quad exhaust setup YES, I SEARCHED!
hi Guys,
so its time to start putting together my quad exhaust setup piece by piece, so i can get it done in the summer.
what i know:
i will need a x pipe and a spare wheel well from a clk55/bs
what i want to know:
since my car has the amg exhaust (and i love how it looks) i want to add a right side amg exhaust. will a c55 amg exhaust (right side) fit? or is there any other amg right side exhaust i can use? please help!
thanks!!!

get some new tips for left and right... this way they will look identical in size and wear and tear... thats what I did... I have an AMG so my tips on the left were already there... yet I changed them.

When I was doing my Quad project I too wanted to keep my OEM tips and just find some for the right side. I spent a ton of time checking dimensions and trying to track down a nice set for the right side that would match my old which are in great shape.
I ended up just getting a full set of 4 new tips. I got mine in 2 pairs of 2 tips. I am really happy I did this because there was no question about sizing and the quality will wear the same.

China!
I ended up ordering a pair of replica c63 OEM tips on Ebay, they were stainless and had good reviews so I went with it. They look great, hopefully they look that good in a couple years lol.
Finding the OEM tips was a pain since they are sold with the muffler assembly, and the few people I tried to get used through were not very upfront about quality.
Wish I knew you had those tips Betreza!
And about the spare wheel well, it prevented me from having a muffler on right side, but I went with a single muffler is where resonators used to be so I just ran a pipe from center muffler right around the spare wheel well NP. Not sure if that works for your model though.

but you know those C55 tips are smaller if you compare to the CLK/CL/SL/SLK55 right ? I used to have those tips and they are kinda smaller ...i ended up sell them to one of our members here but if your ok with that then there is no problem. Just a thoughts here!!!

yeah I wouldn't get the c55 ones.... it will look a bit off I'd say... some guys here actually went for beefier tips than the c63/clk63/clk55 ones.... do your research well!!

Hay. Sorry got a little busy. If I can't find the proper amg setup I think I will go with eisenmann ones. Will the cl amg exhausts fit? They have larger tips? Im looking to do this, this summer so I have a lot of time to figure this out. We should have a sstickie with all this info

wow you are making this way too hard for yourself... just get a muffler shop to do a custom setup for you and find some tips in the size 120mm x 80mm... this is what a CLK55 has and that is what you should have AT THE LEAST imo...
Not sure if you want to save money or something by going around checking all your options, but ive done it before and unless you want to spend good money on good stuff you go custom...
