it turned out really really well. I like the small AMG touches.. that change the whole car around.. the brakes, the spoiler.. the suspension and wheels.

I really like your car. As a matter of fact, I'm considerig the same wheels, AMG wing, front brakes, Brabus suspension. I love the Multi-piece Monoblocks VI too. I have to make a decision soon, which is very difficult.

Can I ask you a question? Where did you get the AMG wing for the CLK55? Any hint as far as pricing... Did you drill the trunk to set it up?

Your car looks very unique now, as well as AMGBRED's silver CLK55.

Yeah the AMG trunk decklid and front brakes really add a nice touch. What do you need to do to fit the 8 piston AMG brakes in a 209?

Should be a DIY job, the spoiler comes pre-painted and I was told its glued on.

CLK500 comes with 4 piston brembo calipers... why would you want the C32 brakes? just cuz of cross drilled rotors?

Thanks guys, appreciate the kind comments.
I think the rear spoiler really helps the look of the rear, which otherwise looks kind of bland. I dont recall the exact price, but around $400 I think (?Harris). It actually comes unpainted, but I do remember the MB dealer charged me $100 to paint it then refused to install it!!! I had someone else install it. It was so simple, they didnt even charge me. AMG recommended just using the adhesive, even though it comes with screws.
The C32 brakes may not add much perfomance-wise, but they really look so much better than stock , particularly because they are much more visible with the dual-spoke wheel.
AMG-Bred, I was behind you in traffic a couple of days ago in your CLK55 - absolutely beautiful car!!!!!

Ummm....interesting! Dr. Anderson, have you seen the spoiler when it arrived at your dealership? 'Cause I was not able to find a part number for the spoiler that has no color code on it. I dont think you still have the packaging somewhere, do you? I need to find out the part number for the non-painted one.

Harris, unfortunately I have long since thrown away the invoice. However, the MB parts dept. lists the part # as 2097900188-9040
Price is $438. The painted vs. unpainted issue is confusing. Apparently you were correct, they do come painted. However, in my case, Alabaster white was not available (!) and when the part came in, it was some other color of white.
Dealing with MB is never easy!!!!!!

I know the calipers are 4 piston, but they're Brembo? I didn't know that. Where did you read this?

I checked out the decklid when I was picking up my car from the dealer today, and I have to say that it does add a nice touch to the car. I have to ask, why did you go through all of the trouble changing out the brakes and not just spring for the 8 piston AMGs? Talk about WOW!

hey Crawford,

I can't believe Phillips didn't put the spoiler on for you? He put in my brabus front bumper on. i wished you would have told me ahead of time, i could have gotten in touch with the guy there and let him know you were coming in.

Anyways, at least you got it done, i am going to have them paint the C32's lorinser spoiler in a week or two, after i get my rubbing taken care of first.

The installation of the AMG 8-pistons on a W209 and a W203 will be A LOT of work and modification. Also, 8-pistons are VERY heavy.
