Picked up my baby yesterday..

2004 Silver 500, Moonroof, Heated Seats, CD, Wood and Leather Steering Wheel, Ash interior.

I'll put up pictures when I get a chance but just wanted to give a few first impressions.

1. Pictures on the web do not do this car justice, it is absolutely stunning and with the windows down it looks like a work of art.

2. Comfort: Wonderful seats and ergonomics. It takes a few times getting in the vehicle to get used to the vehicle being so low, unlike my SUV.

3. Features: The "presenter arm" for the seatbelt takes some getting used to but is a very cool thing to have. A cup holder in the dash??? Okay..I know the germans think us yanks are crazy for drinking in the car but I am not going to put my morning cup of coffee right in the dash. Bose stereo is very nice.

4. Engine: WOW! This thing is a rocket sled. Quiet at speed with the windows up.......fun factor of 10.

5. Interior: I love the ash color but I did too things to break up the color scheme. I got the wood/leather steering wheel and I put black floor mats in and took out the ash ones. That makes a big difference since I think it was too monotone without doing those two things.

6. I got a nice golf shirt from my dealer

Sorry, this is short but Ive got a lot of work to do today. I will post this weekend with pictures and further impressions.

Welcome to CLK Land

I found many of the same good points as you. The biggest down-side is lack of storage in the glove box or center console.

Oh, I'll be detailing it soon...

But its supposed to rain here through Saturday so I'll do it Sunday. My plan is to use Klasse All In One topped with P21S wax and Sonus spritz for touch ups.

One thing I noticed this morning on the car that seems odd is that in most cars where you rest your left foot there is usually a plastic panel there because your shoes get it dirty but this car has carpeting. That will be tough to keep clean.

Congratulations. You're going to love this car. I have mine for almost two months, more I drive it - more I like it.
Are you planning to do some mods, at least cosmetic ones - wheels, body kits, etc.?

No mods for right now...

Im just going to enjoy it as is for right now. If I do anything it will be the wheels but I used a lot of the change out my piggy bank already so that will have to wait behind other priorities such as eating, etc.
