Hey guys,

Can you guys tell me where to get the trunk spoiler for cheap? Also, before the forums went down, I remember someone posting that they can get a bootleg trunk spoiler for the W209 for about $40.00. Can anyone tell me where I can get one for that cheap? TIA.

the dealers retail price is about $450 and comes painted to match the factory colors, i paid $350 from the dealer i worked for, for 16yrs, if anyone interested i could put the word in and anyone else could get same, i have 040 black paint and ordered spoiler and it took about 1mo. installation involves 2 sided tape and fitting is very easy

Thanks clkguy. But I really prefer to get the bootleg version. It's not for an MB but for a Volvo C70. The W209 and the C70 have almost indentical back ends and I've seen a few pics with the AMG spoiler and would like to retrofit that onto my car. I really don't feel like cutting up a $400 piece of plastic to fit.

this number is for 040 black, the first 10 digits identify it as a 209 spoiler but the last 4 digits(9040) determine the pre-painted color

Spoke to the dealer today for silver the part number is:
209 790 01 88 9744

Ordering it on Monday

i went to my dealer, and they told me that the part is not pre-painted... does anyone know the paint code for black opal?

take your vin# with you and tell them upon looking up the spoiler to also bring up what is known as the data card which has all important info such as paint code engine/trans # and all your option codes also, any trained dealer parts person worth his weight in kitty litter can get this info, call ray at cutter motors in santa barbara cal. 800-676-1626 give him the vin# and he will answer your question in moments.

Bought my car a christmas present, the spoiler will be here today, can't wait to pick it up.

My last spoiler I bought was 15 1/2 inches long but it was a civic but this one will look even better as its a merc.
