Does the headlamp washer system require only a single cable? The passenger side has no such stray.

I believe there is one on the other side, too, just bundled more tightly into a harness. Both my C240 and CLK550 have this same disconnected socket, and I assumed that is what it's for.

Just wondering if anyone has actually used the washing system. I have had it on both my AMG's but never once even tested to see if it works. For when we go off-roading?

It works well if you have some snow/ice on the lamps...melts the stuff away.

Ah didn't think of that, thanks. Sounds like a pretty useless option for 90% of my country. I guess the people in FL are equally confused what to do with it.

Yeah it's pretty much one of those features that you don't need until that 1 time you need it...and you're pissed you don't have it.

It also comes in handy if you're driving in the rain on the interstate and in traffic for a long period of time. I've used it several times to clear the road film while driving.

Yes, I found the above comments (though very old, odd.

Headlight washer system on my 2005 CLK is done purely on water pressure from a second washer pump.

Pump runs, pressure builds up and extends the jets, pushing open the flap on the bumper.
When fully extended the pressure goes higher, and squirts out the jets.
A spring returns everything back.

No electrics, except to run the pump!
