I recently put on 19" Lowenhart BS5's with Perilli 7000 tires size
235/35/19F and 265/30/19R and H&R springs.

Is it normal that I have to get my fenders rolled?? B/C at certain angles when I back up my rear tire would totally get stuck on the fender and I can't even move or the pieces of the tire gets rubbed off...

And if even with my fenders rolled what should I do if the rear rims still scratches on the fender??

Can someone please tell me whether if all this is normal for w209 owners with 19's on their car or simply b/c the shop had no idea what they were doing??

What's the width and offset on your rears?

If its only slightly catching, a change in tire brand/design may help (diff tires have diff shoulder designs - some are squarer than others) or else if you're on 9" wide wheels, you could go 255's in the rears. Otherwise u could either:

1) Flare your fender or
2) Shave the wheel hub so that you end up with a higher offset.

no if the offset it incorrect (which i think it is) you need to add spacers. My rims have spacers on them and they arent an issue once you install them, just finding the right spacer and OMG the BOLTS are the problem!

If his problem is fender rubbing, won't adding wheel spacers make the problem worse by pushing the tire farther out?

The size tires are usually OK even with dropped suspension. Some brands do have more square shoulders than others but the rubbing is minor. What is the rim offset? Could you have the wrong ones?

IMO, it's sounding like an offset problem.

Birdie, u can machine the wheel hub so that it sits closer inside the arch but you'll need to find a proper shop to do it. Find out what the offset is (should be inpritned on the inside of your rim) and whether u have spacers in already (if so, you can just take them out).

hey whitey i don't have spacers on the rear rims, but you mentioned that I should try smaller wheels <265....if changing the wheel still don't solve the problem does that mean the wrong offset means I won't be able to have them on my car??

NO! Not wheels, tires mang! 255s. But only if your wheels are 9 or 8.5" wide. If 9.5" the 255 would be too narrow for the wheel. it'll fit (I've tried on a 9.5" wheel) but you may not like the stretched tire look. Like I said, if that fails, you can always shave off the inside of the wheel (not too much or it'll weaken it) but make sure its done by a decent machine shop. good luck dude!

goddamit, just tell us your offset so we can figure out if it really is the offset that is the problem, before you start buying new tires and butchering the wheel...LOL!

Agreed, it seems a bit hasty to rush out and do something to fix it because it still isn't totally clear what your problem is. How low is your car anyway? Where is it actually rubbing, inside or outside edge of the tire, or is it possible that the rear bolts are too long and you're actually hearing rubbing against the emergency brake?

Good point Frisco, forgot about the bolts! Long bolts should typically make a clatter noise and if its what you hear, dun even think about moving your car or you're gonna fxck something up dude!

If its not the bolts, we really need to know the width AND offset before we can form any judgement. I (and I'm sure the others) can do a simple calculation to figure out the exact offset you need.

Frisco, your sig looks "nice and comfortable" yet still aggressive but the wheel/tire could be a bit wider but that's JMO. My E has less than a finger width in the rears with no rubbing at all.

Thanks - Yes these are the Kleemann TS6: 19"/8.5" and 19"/9.5". If I could do it again, I probably would have gone 10.5" (at least 10").

I currently have 19x8 in front and 19x10 in rear with tires 35/35/19F and 265/30/19R with a 1.3 drop and NO RUBING at all. In fact i still think the car sits high, so im planing to drop it another 1/2 and inch by changing/cutting the spring pad. I have not rubbing at all right now in the rear or back and no fender modifications. The front still has about 2 finger gap and about 0-1 finger gap in the back. Hope this helps

You can get spacers for the KLEEMANN TS-6, so no problem you can get your rears out.
The spacers comes in 5, 10, 15, 20, 22 and 25 mm, all custom made for the TS-6.

Thanks Lucas - the wheels came with 5mm spacers for the front and 10mm for the rear, but we ended up needing to use the 10mm spacers on the front to clear the OEM caliper. This ended up making the front wheels stick out slightly past the fender well with 1mm of caliper clearance, but the back wheels were well inside the fender line (and it looked a tad weird). Kleemann NA actually sent me a set of replacement spacers for the rear, but there appeared to have been a little mixup somewhere in the communication because the 10mm spacers that I received still seem to be too thin, and although it's better, the rear wheels still don't stick out as far as the fronts. It looks to me like I could easily fit 15mm spacers and probably even the 20mm spacers - what do you suggest?

Put a block under 1 rear wheel and messure how much space there is, if the look should be really aggressive, you need to work on the fender.

hi hi everyone....finally got my situation solved....the shop put like the thickest pad possible to the rear resulting in a .5 inch raise and got my fenders rolled......everything's good still cant find the damn offset though........
