Mry car has been in the shop for over a week now!!

I was driving along minding my own business when suddenly the coolant warning came on. It said "Coolant - Visit workshop" and five minutes later the darn radiator fan stated making noise like as if it were a jet engine. Anyways, went to the dealer and they had a look at it. Plus there was a ticking sound on the right side of the engine bay. They say it is a purge valve(??? ??)
So now its been a week since my car is in the shop (the parts - radiator fan - were on back order), and they have no idea why this happened.
Well the good thing is that they gave me an 04 ML350 as a loaner. My dealership is good that way, but hopefully should get my car back soon.

My first problem at 6500kms and hope none more to come. DAMN I miss the V8. The ML 350 seems like a snail!!
Plus it has not even snowed since I got the ML!!!
Watch...the minute i get back my CLK, its gonna snow again!!! MY LUCK!!

Sorry to hear that.

But I guess you havent driven a ML320 before, if you think the 350 is a snail, well.....all I can say is it is MUCH better than a 320!!!

The valve is on the drivers side of the car and it does not tick loudly all the time only as the pressure builds to a certain level.
make sure that's what causing the ticking...did your car overheat?

Got the car back, and everything is back to normal. I have to say the my dealership has been nothin but helpful. I would highly recommend them to anyone. I also got a follow up call from the service rep I've owned BMW, Infiniti, Audi, just to name a few, and none did that. They also kept me posted throughout.
Hats off to Silver Arrow Motors in Toronto!
Hopefully I wont have those problems again.
But those damn CLK 55 rims!!! Must resist....must resist!!

Which ones are those? Plus..I'm still trying to justify installing new wheels and tires to a 2 year lease car.
Will it be easy to sell the stock 17" wheels and tires?

Go to: www.hartonmotorwerks.com/gallery.htm

you will find quite a few CLKs there.....pay special attention to the WHITE one....

Dont sell the stock wheels, keep it for winter or in the garage. You will have a hard time buying them back. Dealers always want everything stock. You can sell the 18's for a better price when you sell your car. You're only going to drive the CLK for 2 years??? Kind of waste for such a refined car!!!

Let me know how much you want to sell your 17-inch wheels. I'm interested to buy them to replace my 16-inch stock wheels for my 2004 CLK-320.

18-inch will look great for the CLK. Too bad I visit Montreal frequently and the potholes there will kill my tires/wheels in no time.

I am in Toronto area as well.
