2003 CLK55 AMG HELP!!!!!!
Will someone please look at the attached picture and tell me what the hell is wrong here. I am new to this stuff, what it looks like to me is that the coolant line is loose at the base where it connects to the coolant reservoir? Some of the coolant is leaking out. Also I just got a "check coolant level" alert. No check engine light. Help would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

can you loosen the clamp, push the hose further into its location, then tighten the clamp back up? Yes, looks like it could be leaking from there..check all hoses for damaged/loose clamps

no, the "nipple" that the hose goes into is just so deteriorated that I cant get in on very tightly. do you guys think i should buy and replace the coolant reservoir before I drive the car again? I dont know what brand of coolant the last owner used so does that mean I cant add any until I flush?

Should I have the dealer do this? Or should I just do it myself? I am new to this stuff but I am a fast learner.
Jack car, flush coolant, remove reservoir, replace with new reservoir and add correct amount of coolant?
I am no mechanic what so ever, let me know if you think I should have dealer service the car or if I should just do it?

I can't answer whether you can do this or not. But if you want to work on your car to save money then you have to start somewhere. In no case should you take it to a dealer. An independent shop would be cheaper. But what I was saying is that if it were me, I would not flush it. Just add a new reservoir and top it up with the correct fluid. You weren't going to flush it if the reservoir was still good, so why flush it? You don't need to buy MB fluid. Rodney (screen name Rudney) posted the correct kind you can get in most auto parts parts stores within the last week. It's like GX20 or something - search his recent posts or just Google a bit. The prior owner may not have used anything. My car is now 8 years old and I don't know that my coolant reservoir has been opened since some guy in Germany screwed the cap on at the factory. I know I have not opened it in the 5 years I've owned it.
