Exclamation Does any one have a vid of deleting all cats including the front ones?

I'm deciding whether or not to delete the front and back cats or just the secondary ones. I have no idea if the check engine light will come on but I do have a scanner for that and could probably do something about that. And my other question is would there be a whole lot of a difference with deleting just the secondary on a 04 clk330 rather then deleting all cats

NO LONGER ACTIVE
You can remove the secondary cats with no worries about triggering an error. But if you remove the primary cats, you'll need an ECU tune to disable the downstream O2 sensors.

I guess the question is, what is your goal? Betters sound? I'd work with the muffler for that. If you want to reduce back pressure, just remember that this can lower torque output.

Thanks for the reply, I guess my goal is for a better sound. I'm tired of the car sounding like a damn hybrid. And do you have any tips on getting some more performance on the car? Maybe like pulleys or something

no offense mate but you have a V6 and deleting sec cat wont make much difference with the sound. deleting both will trigger error and will sound like a lawnmower on steroids. if you want a better sounding V6, start with the muffler.

No offense taken, but just because I have a V6 doesn't mean I'm going to have it sound like a lawnmower if I did some things to the exhaust.

Hey its your car and you can do whatever you want with it. Im just telling you the end result. But please, do the first and sec cat delete and let me know. Dont get me wrong, Im not belitling the V6 in any way but you did ask.

Spend some money and change your muffler to start with. Dont cheap out and just chop away like its a honda civic.

What beej said. Why would you want your Mercedes to sound like a Ford F150 with glass packs, not to mention that you're violating Federal and state law, and polluting the environment.

I'll just gut the secondary, thanks. I just love the sound of a f150. And by the way I'm not from the United States so I don't give a single **** about federal or state laws.

Removed all cats, I had a star diagnose system and turned off the sensor. It's sounds amazing. I had no idea it was going to sound this good. I'll post a sound clip
