switched 12 v driver side fuse box

I am trying to find a switched 12v in the driver side fuse panel . My multimeter gave out on me so I don't even have that to check . I am trying to wire my radar detector that I mounted under the mirror .

Cigarette lighter in the middle. There's no switched only constant at the fuse box. I ran a wire from the rear SAM to have switched in that spot.

I have an Escort and installed it with the hardwired cord with remote mute. I wired into the cigarette lighter and put the mute button on the center console, then routed the power line under the dash, up the A-pillar and across the top of the headliner/windshield to the detector.

that's what I did and I thought I would be able to tap into the fuses on the driver side . on a convertible its a bit harder to do because I have to open the top and take of the plastics that's under the top and remove the driver shade .

Yep, dealt with that rim on both the CLK cabriolet and the SL. It's an hours job, but worth the trouble for a clean install.
