CLK500 Refix !
I purchased a CLK500 2006 AMG,GPS and all option available Clean Title.
The car was in horrible condition
ABS,ESP malfunctioning, some dents, chips, headlight cracked, Oil leaks on valve cover, alignment bad, hood was damaged,alarm not working, and many more options not working hehe.
see images How it all started.!

I moved the alarm inside the engine bay.
i removed all stock bulbs and replaced it using led's error free
The only original light is on passenger side hid 4K,the driver side headlight is new from the mercedes dealer i believe its different (5K) since its more light output !
or it could be the passenger side bulb is old will replace!!!

Wow, $500 seems like a great price. What all did you do cosmetically to the exterior? How is the interior? How much are you into it for now? And yeah, it's not an AMG. Just like my car, they slap on AMG wheels, exhaust tips, rocker panels and bumpers. It's not an option package or anything - they are all that way. Genuine AMG models are two digits - 32, 55, 63 etc. If you see a three-digit model with an AMG badge on the trunk, the person is what is commonly called a "poser."

nothing on the trunk just the muffler and wheels i was thinking its amg! the car was owned by a 70y from 2006 ehhe,The interior is like brand new the car has 43K miles the 1st owner did not drive it much it was sitting in the garage for years when i got it i had a shop paint the front bumper hood and replace the fender, (the fender was not damage when i got the car) and change the original rear tires the car was bouncing when driving since the car was sitting i still have the original tires up front will replace in summer,And Mercedes dealer replace the esp computer and changed the oil and alignment,and i replaced the alarm valve cover gasket,am replacing all fluids in the car.

43K miles is pretty low. Yes, I'd say that $500 is a little below Blue Book. All in working order, that car with those miles is realistically probably worth $14-15,000. So if you make it all good for less than $10,000 then you did pretty well.

I forgot what the price was to do all the work i believe it was around 5/6K
and i only drove it like 100miles around village , since i have another car but this one is like a project car

I will update the pictures the ware in the wrong order grrrr then i try arranging it and it got deleted , hehehe , oh what happen is on one side i try lifting and the other side was not lose and i pulled it hard and cracked.
am deleting the second cats well not deleting just cleaning it out not taking it off.
am planing to take of the muffler and cut it on the top and clean it out and weld it back.

Both may be different on the 500 but on my 550 the muffler was essentially straight-through. I ran a coat hanger into the exhaust pipe and encountered no bends to beyond the length of the muffler. I think it just has a lot acoustic material; but isn't a reflective muffler. I did not look into the secondary cats, but the resonator was also straight-through with a tuning port opening/s in the pipe.

I wouldn't suggest shorty headers, mid or full length is the way to go. Many may disagree but my opinion is if you are thinking of supercharging, a full engine swap, transmission, ecu and loom with a supercharged 5.5L M113K from an SL/E/S/CL55 would be much more reliable and give higher performance in general if done properly. I have read a few stories of NA engines blowing up. I would only consider adding a supercharger to an NA engine if it is low boost and it is dyno tuned by someone very experienced. Most people are quite disappointed in the results from roots superchargers on these engines.
