I cant seem to find one that fits the AMG 55 2003 convertible, any ideas?

Liiiit up star
Shine a little heaven on my AMG, to show it's real
The way you are
You know it'd be such an awesome thing
If I gotta fight I, can never play somebody else's game
I must follow
The Liiiit Up Star
Ahem... sorry about that. Your request just lent itself to a musical rendition with the tune of an ancient country classic, and before I knew it I had typed these utterly pointless words, and clicked the "Reply" button. I assure you this will not happen again.

I'd be interested in this, too. Sad as it is, people hate it. I just ordered one for my W166, I'll see what fitment may be able to take place.Originally Posted by silverlady

Oh dear...........I guess it shows that having the cash to buy/run a Merc does not guarantee good taste.
Well I suppose it would match in if you had some ultra low pro's on massive chrome spinners, headlight eyelashes, chrome covers for everything, pink leather, six inch tail pipes and of course the compulsory foot high alloy and carbon spoiler!! Lol! DONT DO IT!

Not everyone has your sense of refined taste, like sour milk. Originally Posted by CLK200K-UK

Ha! Calm down! I totally get why people say it looks gaudy to them, but, being this is now a MB available option, I just don't agree. You can counter-modify with simplicity to even the star out. At one point, the large logo fad was too flashy when just the hood ornament was the thing to have. Maybe I'm just trying to be ok with my bad decisions.Originally Posted by CLK200K-UK

Mods are a personal thing. I would not put a lighted star on my car, but if someone else wants it, then so be it. I replaced the dog light on my CLK with "L" shaped LED bars and some thought that was tacky. I covered the faded plastic C pillar trim on my SL with Dinoc fake carbon fiber. Some may think that's tacky. It's your car - make it your own (except that I do draw the line with badging it as something it is not or putting a fake //AMG badge on a non- AMG car).

You would love it over here then. Non AMG cars often come from the FACTORY with an AMG badge on the back. If you order any car with the AMG styling pack you get the badge. Mine came with one just because it was originally ordered with AMG 4 wheels! Was not a problem for me for long as the badge was stolen about a week after I bought the car! I don't have a problem with it as it's so common over here (UK). Only gets annoying if accompanied by a two number name badge...C32 instead of C320 etc....on a vehicle that clearly isn't.Originally Posted by Rudeney
