Hit a cat at 50mph
Driving in the left lane and all of a sudden a cat jumps from the bushes, guessing t was suicidal or just dumb stupid.
anybody know where I can get an AMG bumper that would be an easy swap from the non AMG clk320 I have on now, but needs to fit the same fog lights also. Thanks

No doubt your quick reflexes prevented this collision from being more serious, AMG. In your shoes, I'd file a robust lawsuit against that kamikaze driver, seeking damages to cover the cost of this repair, at the very least.

No sir I was not expressing doubt about the incident you have described. I merely stated that I would be tempted to sue, if another motorist hit my car through no fault of mine. I apologize for not having been clear enough in the way I expressed this thought.
Having had my car hit in the past by a careless driver, your experience was sadly familiar, and not something I would joke about.

Ha ha I really do need a new pair of glasses. I totally mis-read your post, and thought your car suffered a minor fender bender with another CAR.
Glad at least you got a laugh, though obviously humor was not my intent here. I like the concept of filing lawsuits against house pets all the same. It has a nice ring to it.

I would imagine more than a few other forum readers have probably already concluded that I need to lay off the booze, so I won't attempt to dig myself any deeper than I have done already, other than to offer the mild disclaimer that despite my wacky comments in this topic, I haven't had a beer in decades.

Just know that to go to the AMG bumper, or the "AMG Sport Appearance Package" bumper from the CLK500/550, you will need ALL the bumper parts including the skin, its internal stiffening and impact foam, fog lights, fog light grilles, and lower grille. My advice would be to find someone selling it as a complete unit from a part-out car. Even if you have to pay to repaint it to match color, it will be cheaper than buying all the parts.
