CLK 55 w/19" HRE 547R
Hey All,
I've been lurking the forums since Sept 03 when I picked up my CLK55. Thought I'd share some picks of my newly installed HRE 547R 19x8.5 & 19x9.5 w/Dunlop Sp 9000's. My Carlsson Thread Chassis Suspension arrived today thanks to Harris at Harton. I'll post some more pics when the suspension and Quad exhaust set-up are installed in a few weeks.

A bucket on wheels
absolutely stunning! have you thought of painting the wheels black and keeping the lip chromes or polished? i think that would look great on your car and specially on those wheels. beautiful regardless.

The finish is the full polish with black and grey centre caps. The cars going to get lowered next Tuesday.
I considered painting the centre's black and leaving the polished lip, but couldn't wait to get the rims on. I may send them out in the winter and have the centre painted.

I saw your car at IAS in Los Angeles, it looks awesome the Lorinser kit and colour matched HRE's look amazing together. Could you give me some info on your stereo set-up. It looked like you were using the whole trunk as an enclosure. Also did you change the head unit because I've been told that because of the fibre optic wiring in mercedes it is very difficult to add stereo equipment. (Altough anything is possible) there are just not as many resources here in Canada as there are in the U.S so knowledge and experience is limited.

I removed the chrome inserts from the grill. There are 8 plastic pieces that you just push over and slide out. The grill is left with small holes that are only noticable close up. I sent out the chrome plastic pieces to get painted black so the grill looks complete. This is much cheaper than buying the black grill MB offers.

Very nice; with a drop it's going to really look hot. Post more pices after you get the work done (but please find a hosting site that doesn't require registration just to view pics!)
