Question about driver side seat cushion

Hi everyone,

I want to replace the driver side bottom seat cushion because it is really worn. It has the seat warmer. I found a few replacements on eBay however they do not have the seat warmer. My question is how hard is it to remove the seat cushion and if I purchase another one without the warmer, could I simply swap the skin and heating pad?

Thank you

I just replaced the drivers seat upholstery (MB Tex) on my 2008 e350. Purchased from “https://www.mercedespartshub.com/sea..._id=&page_url= “. It included the heating element. Price was reasonable and quality was good. The other place I checked was “GAHH Upholstery”. I assume they would have what you need.

Nice, almost exactly the same as my car

Ok, from what I found exact part for you car going to be 209-910-06-46-7F42 (7F42 - color code) - heated, alpaca gray leather. Price is around $500-$600.
Best deal for you going to be 209-910-09-46-7F42 - vented, alpaca gray leather. Price is around $100-$150.
Couple of things about last option:
1. It might be hard to find it. Last time I tried to by that part most of my part suppliers told me that it's discontinued.
At least I see it on ecstuning. They usually successful for finding discontinued parts
2. Since this part is for cars with vented seats it is perforated (see pictures in my thread, i'm using exactly this covers).
So you might consider buy two for both seats. It's still going to be twice as cheap as first option
3. It doesn't say that it's for cars with heated seats, but as far as I know all cars with vented seats have heating. And there is a connecter for heating element in this cover (heated element integrated into seat cover)

Lastly, I've been considering selling my car's interior..... If might be interested, we can discuss it in a PM
Feel free to ask me if you have any additional questions

My plan was to buy a used seat cover but the ones I found don’t have the heating element. I thought maybe you could swap the heater element from the old cover in my car to the new one. Also, I did buy the one you recommended for around 150 but I want it to match to the original. Why are the gray ones so expensive? Wasn’t this a common color? Also, do I need to remove the whole seat for replacement?

You mean without perforation?
Why are the gray ones so expensive? Wasn’t this a common color?
It's not that gray ones are more expensive, they are average price (around $500) for such parts, not only across Mercedes, for other manufactures it's usually around the same price for leather parts. It's just some of combinations of color/part of mercedes parts are much cheaper.
Also, do I need to remove the whole seat for replacement?
I think it's possible to do... but it's going to be super complicated. Removing a seat is very simple, I sometimes do it couple of time per day :-D

By exact match I mean perforated. My current seat is perforated in the middle but solid on the edges. The one I bought is perforated all over. Guess I’ll just have to pay the 500.
