Exclamation Engine fan now stuck at high speed/ malfunction lit

Has this happened to anyone? Is this what the TSB remedies and or prevents from happening? Also I have a malfunction saying "Coolant Visit Workshop!" but the coolant level is fine and the engine temp is lower than normal due to the fan running on high speed all the time even when I first start the car. My fan used to only come on warp speed once in a while until today.

Thanks

The engine coolent alert came on, on my CLK-55. It was the coolent sensor and was replaced in 30 minutes. The fan on mine always runs like a bat out of hell on mine. More so when using the AC.

Thanks. Going to the dealer this am. I think my sensor is bad too, but i'm asking for the tsb to be done as well since I'm there and it could be a future problem. Apparently the fan also runs on high speed ALL the time not intermittently for the tsb issue.

Dealer said car was throwing off all kinds of codes, their first thoughts are a bad ME control unit, this sounded a bit much to me but they also said they're doing more diagnostic work. I sure hope it's just a sensor and I asked for the TSB update to be done.

Hpefully the TSB # 2003110006 c209 "Adapter Fan Harness" will cure the problem.

Well the results from the dealer are in.

ME Control Unit replaced, it had no signal output to the fan which put it on default /high speed mode. I guess this also triggered the coolant light. The repair order said "Engine control module -all fuel inj. systems, repl." I'm not to sure about the fuel injector comment ??? It also said "perf. ring gear adaptation after replacement of ME."

They also did the TSB. I mentioned the TSB# in the post above.

So far so good. Glad to have her back again

Is there a website somewhere which lists the TSBs for the CLK?

Cheers
