Where the wiring from the hood is going to?

Need to replace the hood, but would like NOT to remove the grille with washers and a sensor from the top of the hood since it’s too brittle and most likely all the clips will break. I would rather to replace it with the wiring is possible.
But I can not easily find where it is coming to. At first I thought it comes to front SAM, but looks like it doesn’t.
Any easy solution?

actually it sneaks under front sam into the cabin. There are some plastic panels by the left foor rest and it goes somewhere there. Didn’t track it further since I’m too lazy to remove those panels

Recently I was adding a wire from clutch switch to front SAM and I don't really remember a wire from engine bay bypassing front SAM but probably i just didn't care that much Anyway if it's still going to be relevant I'll check it tonight .

I found that washer nozzle heaters should be connected to front SAM's connector #20 pin 4. See attached photo.
There is still a chance that they are not connected to front SAM because I've seen some variations in configurations (for example in some cases clutch switch is connected to front SAM in some to ECU), but I really doubt it because I don't see any other logical module where it could be connected to and in Mercedes engineering most of the things are logical

When I retrofitted sun sensor and smog sensor to my w203 - power came from SAM at the instrument panel.

There was a connector (maroon in color OEM) for the split. I created my own water tight connector. I believe one of the connectors was buried in the drivers side threshold electronics tray...as part of the electronics goes directly to the back of the HVAC...

Maybe check w203 forums for such retrofit.
There IS a retrofit doc on installing heated washers, so that might be insightful.

I had heated washers OEM.

Pulling the hood vent was terrible.
It’s a terrible design and material choice.

However, with a little help, pry tools, soft bondo mixer shims and patience - I “only” broke a few... The four screws hold it down rather well, and only one spot (not telling where) is .025” raised...

Couple days ago I gave up and removed the grille/vent. It was so brittle that all the clips did fall when I just touched them with the screwdriver. I though they could break from the wind
