I had put in a navigation DVD update last week and the CD tried to initialize but then the screen went blank.I removed the nav update CD and have tried disconnecting the battery for 60 minutes but now I only get the MB logo and no radio or satellite or CD player. This is a Command APS NTG2 with screen that folds down for access to Navigation DVD slot and audo CD slot for my 2006 CLK350. I hope this unit is not ruined and I would rather keep the original equipment. Can it be rebooted to factory setting? I checked all the fuses and they are ok. Now all I get is the MB logo and it never goes away. Any comments welcome.

I think you mean Comand MCSII, not APS NTG2. By the sound of it, the firmware didn't install properly or it didn't finish installing. Did you insert a genuine disc? (Not a eBay knockoff). Sending the Comand unit to Alpine or bringing it to the dealer is an option, but if the price is too high, just get a replacement Comand from ebay.
Thank you for your reply to my post. Yes the DVD I had put in the Command Head unit looked authentic i bought on Ebay-it was for vehicles built 2015-2016. My CLK350 is a 2006. Would it work if I tried to install the original DVD it came with? I attached Pictures of the DVD CD.

There are tons of fake 2015 discs on eBay. If you paid ~10-15 USD for it, then it's fake. In fact, looking at your picture, I can tell it is fake because there are typos in the French text.
Real ones cost ~100USD used. Flip the disc around. If you see the part number imprinted on the clear centre part of the disc (where you pick it up with your index finger), then it will be genuine.
Another problem, you have the wrong disc. Your disc is for CL and S classes.
The correct disc for CLK is BQ6460328. You will see T1000-22938 imprinted on the back.
To my knowledge, you cannot revert to a previous firmware.
I am now able to play Audio CD which is displayed next to the speedometer and am trying to tune the radio using the steering wheel control buttons. Holding the arrow to up will seek stations? If I can get back the radio function it would be great.
If I bought a used Mercedes Command Head Unit would it be a plug and play? Would it need a code to work and would it need to be programmed for a particular car?

Since yours is a 2006 model, make sure you get a Comand with a button that says SERV in front. DO NOT get the newer version that says SYS, otherwise your Comand will show the wrong time.
Make sure part # begins with A209, NOT anything else even if the Comand unit looks the same. It will not fit.
I believe A2098203189 should work for you. Better yet, take out your old Comand first and order the exact same part #.
Yes, it is plug and play.
Does anyone know the keys to press to enter into the engineering mode on the COMAND Head Unit? I am still attempting to recover my unit that only shows the Mercedes Logo on the screen and nothing else. I put in a NAV update CD that was wrong or a fake pirate CD that I am sorry for doing. Also my Nav CD player does not operate. Can I use the audio CD player to enter the correct NAV CD that came with the vehicle? My COMAND worked fine until I put this wrong DVD in my NAV player. Any comments are welcome.
