This is a bit random, but does anyone know why he doesn't post any more? I always thought he was extremely helpful. According to a quick search, he hasn't posted anything since February of this year.

I didn't have a question for him or anything. Just wondering...

I don't know, but like you I would like to know. I would particularly like to know if he is ok. I don't get on as often as I used to but I to have missed him helping folks out.

Maybe if I posted something out of line the moderator would intervene and we could ask them......

Over on the R230 sub-forum there was a lot of drama end of 2019 and beginning of this year. Since I have both a W209 and R230, I saw what happened over there beginning late December, through January, into the beginning of February. Bobterry99 over on the R230 still keeps in touch with Rodney regularly last he advised and Rodney is now active "somewhere else". Below are some links to threads of what I'm talking about.

Rodney was very helpful to me and thousands of others for years on this sub-forum and the R230 sub-forum and he is definitely missed. Bob also helped me out many times on my SL.

EDIT: I just noticed Bobterry99 has been banned. He is also active that same "somewhere else".

I really was concern if he was ok. You tend to develop a view of people on the forum over time. I like Rudeney and the help he provided. I wasn't in the obvious heat of battle on the SL forum but I still have very high regards for Rudeney. JM, not so much.

I'll try to locate Rudeney just to say hi. Thanks again.

You're welcome. He was always very patient and helpful. I'd imagine he made such a positive impact on so many MBZ owners that allowed them to truly enjoy their vehicles throughout the years. I still see him active over on "the other" forum.

I agree. From my experience, he never asked for anything in return, monetary or otherwise.

so basically someone here pissed him off and hence he left this forum? He was a very good person who brought endless knowledge to us here, what a shame.

A specific group of individuals (Well some were even fake accounts setup up by one or two individuals) started claiming that he was profiting off the services he was providing people on here, which was not true as so many people can attest to, when in reality the person they were all defending was the one profiting and is still profiting on providing services on here even though he is not a sponsor.

Thanks gaazmon for bringing me up to date. Rod was totally altruistic and did nothing but good for our community. He took his time to answer my simple questions to the most technical ones and not once asked for a dime. Shame on these individuals and karma will hand them theirs. Hope Rod knows how much we appreciate and respect him and comes back ..

If you or anyone could pm me these individuals , the person profiting and their screen names...I will ensure no one I know will deal with them and give a penny to these shadey people.
