Seat belt retracting arm not moving outwards
On may clk350 I noticed the arms on both sides that helps push the seatbelt towards you so you grab it is not moving.
Any ideas where to begin?

I'm not sure if there's a new guru for this forum, but Rudeney, who was fantastic, is no longer the one. But I have a similar issue and have just started searching the forums for a fix. I have a cab, which is slightly different (in disassembly) than the coupe fix.
Anyway, there is an older thread where Rudeney posted some pics/steps for accessing the seat belt threader.
Honestly, the pics get a bit tough for me, but do help. I've gone to Youtube and
that help.
Hope this helps.

Wow this is awesome yeah I think it might be an electrical issue now because the passenger side is working fine when you open and close the door so I’m going to try to attempt to open the side cover up thank you so very much for the help in the video this is awesome

Jimmy have you tried the trick where you would move the two fuses for about two minutes and then plug them back in that one might help you out it’s in the thread I think. If you open up the fuse box driver side where the door meets the dash open that cover and I think it’s fuse 30 and 31 there’s a piece of paper in there with a map showing you which fuses they should be green 20 or 30 A I think

Hello Thank for the response , i found the problem even though all fuses were not burned out 3 - 30amp fuses in location ( 21,22 and 1 ) | 30 amp fuse in the trunk were corroded , i replaced 4 new fuses and problem solved . goes to show you that even though fuses look good they may have high resistance do to the material of the fuse because corroded or discolored . all fuses that were effecting the sunroof , rear quarter window. the seat belt extender were all bad .

I think what they wanted to do is similar to what we do in computers is a system discharge. Where you remove all power and you let it discharge for about five minutes and you plug the fuses back in and it’s sort of a reset scenario.
