Rear parking sensors only is often called "parking assist." (This is also what is available as a retrofit, although Parktronic can be retrofit as well, it's just not available as a retrofit kit from Mercedes.)

i see. The reason I asked is that after going through all the picture threads in here and the 55 forum, I can't find a picture concerning the parktronic system.
By the way, do I still get the side markers when I have parktronic?

Since we're in the W209 CLK forum, yes, you can, if you want, because you need a whole new bumper (or need to drill your own).

To get rid of the side markers on a US-spec car you need to replace the whole bumper. Looks like that might be the case on the R171 too.
