Just leased a CLK500 for a great price.

Well I posted a question on who here has leased their CLK500 and for how much. Just got my Lease deal finished and I think got a pretty good deal. So I just thought I'd share to see what you guys think and see if I really did get a good deal. We will be getting a:

05 CLK500 Coupe (on order) delivery date 12-15-04
Alabaster White
Charcoal Interior
Leather/wood stearing wheel
Nav
6-disc CD
Heated seats
Sunroof
Chrome door protectors
Illuminated door sills
Trunk Drawer
Chrome Mirrors
Upgraded 5-spoke wheels

15,000 miles a year with $0 money down, just first payment at signing @ $802.58/month for 48 months.

Thanks guys for your help.

2005 CLK55 Cab
nice - did you go through MB finance or did you find the Lease deal somewhere else?
I assume this is a coupe and not a cab

It is a Coupe, I forgot to say that. And I did Not go through Mercedes. They are not competative at all. I went through Autoflex actually. Almost went through Lineback.com but Autoflex was able to beat them.

That seems like a good price. How much more was your M-B dealer?

They price me for a car that was less (way less) loaded for around $1050 a month. With only 12,000 miles. Like I said they cannot compete. Those of you that leased through them got bent over...sorry but it's true.

You should not lease cars that are below $70K

I'm not sure y you would lease a car for that much money for that long. You could buy a CLK for about that price with a few $$$$ down. And by the time your done with your lease you get nothing. When your down buying at car at least you have a ride to get you to point A to B without car payments. Now for cars $70K and above I can see why someone would lease b/c the resale value is not great so the amount you spend leasing would = the amount you spend buying. But really, anyone who lease should only lease max 3 yrs...anything longer its not worth the money...its money down the toilet. but hey, if u got it...thats ur choice.

I got a 2004 CLK 500 Coupe in August for a lot less than that, but it was a 48mos. 12k mile/yr. Call John Mattis at Mercedes-Benz of Sarasota, even with shipping, it will be a lot less.

2005 CLK320
I just leased a 2005 clk320 (MSRP of 54455 and adjust cap of about 52K including acquisition fee) for $787 with 15K miles for 36 months. I got a money factor of .00295 (7%) from MB. What are you guys getting as far as money factor from the banks? This determines your approximate APR.

sorry to go off topic about 320's but dragny i think you are paying way way too much i live in new york and i got the same car as you assuming you have navi (a 2004 though) and the difference is price is so much i can lease an extra car from the difference i think you should check local leasing agencies to help work out a better price for you

Here are the Options: DVD Navi, Xenon, Keyless Go, Moonroof/sunshade, ventilated & heated seats, CD-Changer, multicontour seat, wood steering wheel. ($54,455) After finding out a true lease rate from a friend who works in the auto financing biz, I was able to go back to the dealer and renegotiate, this time with 12K miles instead (gonna trade it in after two years anyway) and now its $719 including tax with a money factor of .00255 about 6% apr. So not too bad. Damn MB dealer financing guys tried to make some extra money from the financing.

Why not get a base 500 instead of a 320 with so many options?

All those options are a must have for me so I would rather forego the clk500 than not have those options. Actually I test drove both and originally wanted the 500 with all those options, but I weighed all the advantages and disadvantages such as gas and the cornering fog lamps and decided to go with the 320. I would've liked the body kit and digital climate control, not to mention that extra oomph. But . . . I have really grown to like the look of the 320.

How much was your capital reduction ? And make sure you get gap insurance included.

Well the reason why we're leasing the car (it's actually going to be my sister-in-laws car) is because for my family it's all about monthly cash flow. And $802 a month @ 48 months is $38,496. The car cost $61k, and to finance that amout which would actually come out to about $65k with taxes and all, it would not be beneficial. Especially with German cars these days you do not want to keep them after their warranties are up. That's my opinion of course but their reliability lately has gone down in that recent years.

Your point on leasing for only 3 years is valid, however 3 years raises your monthly payment and as our familiy has realized 3 years is just one year too short when leasing. We always returned our cars wanting just one more year. You know?
